The concept

In collaboration with the project’s steering committee, historians Julia Werner and Stefan Nies developed the concept “Cap Arcona Documentation Center: Commemoration – Remembrance – Learning” on behalf of the city of Neustadt in Holstein. The interim report “Remembering War Crimes Committed During the Final Phases of the War on the Baltic Coast” in the Memorial Sites Newsletter 12/2024 provides a good overview of the plans.
