Focus groups accompany concept phase

Curators Julia Werner and Stefan Nies are developing the new permanent exhibition for the Cap Arcona Documentation Center in collaboration with the exhibition design firm Whitebox Dresden. Three focus groups—"Students," "Inclusion," and "Post-Migrant Perspective"—are providing additional input during the conceptual phase.
For the “Post-Migrant Perspective” focus group, we were able to bring in multi-peRSPEKTif: In this project at the Bunker Valentin memorial site in Bremen, people with and without migration experience explore traces of Nazi history in northern Germany. The kickoff on May 6, 2026, featured a day in Neustadt in Holstein with a visit to the Cap Arcona Museum and the Memorial Cemetery. During subsequent sessions, impressions and questions regarding the exhibition will be discussed in greater depth.
